Stylish Hair For A worry-free Graduation Day.. and Night

May 21, 2015

It’s that time of the year again- graduation season! And those square, tasseled hats bring a whole new meaning to “hat hair”. Try out these stylish ‘dos to avoid the inevitable rumpled mess when transitioning from commencement ceremony to after-party night out.

Tousled waves:

Soft, relaxed curls will look great for hours with the right amount of hairspray. Start off the day with rounder, barrel curl and as you move through festivities your curls will loosen and give you style and continuous volume. Make sure to concentrate your original styling towards the lower ¾ of your locks so that pesky mortarboard doesn’t dampen your look.

Half up Half Down:

If you didn’t have the time to decorate your cap, you can definitely channel your creativity into this style with a half-up braid. A Using your cap to measure the exact placement, you want to situate your braids to prevent a sizable dent around the crown of your head. Once your cap is thrown in the air, you have a perfectly planned out hairstyle underneath.

Side Braid:

Stand out in the crowd of graduates with a beautiful side braid beginning where your cap ends. Your hair will be out of your face but still visible for a low-maintenance look. This ‘do can be extremely versatile as well; dependent on how intricate you get with your braid. If you have layers, leave a piece or two hanging on the opposite side to frame your gorgeous face.
