So You Got A Bad Haircut…

February 9, 2015

If your chunky layers or lob-gone-mushroom wasn’t exactly what you expected, this article is for you!

1. DON’T GO FOR A QUICK FIX AT HOME

Sure, getting a new cut is a good way of dealing with a bad haircut but don’t let it evolve into a DIY project. Visit a proper stylist if you don’t mind sacrificing extra length.

2. GIVE CURLS A GO

If the thought of a stylist trembles you right now, you should definitely invest in a curling iron or experiment with a few curly heatless hairstyles. Curls look good on layered hair and add extra volume all while being very forgiving. Simply curl your hair, finger-style it adding texturizing products or few pins to complete the look and …  Who could have guessed that wasn’t what you were going for?

3. ADD VOLUME

Do you want to make those Ugly Betty bangs look much better? Style them using a hairdryer and a round brush or tease and hairspray them well for a pompadour! Even the shortest of bangs can be pinned up or fluffed up to look good if volumized properly.

4. EXPERIMENT

Look up few hairstyles you wanted to try for a while and treat yourself to a selection of styling products. See how your hair looks with a side part, grab a styling pomade or a mousse and give beachy waves or faux hawk!

5. ACCESORIZE

Headbands, scarfes, hair jewelry and hats… the world is yours! Cool accessories will not only hide a bad cut but will also spice up your style!

6. GROW IT OUT
