Bubbly Pairings

December 30, 2014

Champagne and caviar go hand in hand for New Year’s. This holiday season we suggest you go for less conventional pairings, which turn out to be as surprising as they are delicious.

1. To accompany Dom Perignon, serve a course of grilled crab and a grillled licorice stick. Adding the licorice root works especially well with the champagne’s “dark minerality.”

2. Champagne is great with greasy, salty fried food. Try pairing Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut with crispy fries.

3. Sit down with a glass of Ceci La Luna, a biodynamic bottle that’s ideal with bacon cheeseburger.

4. Our go-to snack pairing with Bollinger Special Cuvee is truffled popcorn, which can be found in most gourmet popcorn shops.
